US Tax Intern - Job Description

Position: US Tax Intern

Shift: Night Shift.


Job Summary

Speridian Technologies is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a US Tax Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh commerce graduate to gain hands-on experience in international taxation and finance, with a specific focus on the US market. The role is remote and requires working during night hours to align with US business timings.



Key Responsibilities

  •  Tax Preparation Assistance: Assist senior tax professionals and accountants with the preparation and filing of US federal and state tax returns for clients.
  •  Data Entry and Analysis: Accurately enter and organize financial data for tax calculations. Assist in analyzing financial records to ensure all relevant information is captured.
  •  Documentation and Compliance: Help in maintaining and organizing tax-related documents and records. Ensure all work adheres to established company procedures and US tax regulations.
  •  Research: Conduct research on various US tax laws, regulations, and changes to support the team in providing accurate advice to clients.
  •  Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to clarify data, report progress, and seek guidance on tasks.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  •  Educational Background: A recent graduate with a degree in Commerce (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).
  •  Interest: A strong and genuine interest in taxation, finance, and international business.
  •  Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  •  Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
  •  Attitude: Must be a quick learner with a proactive and responsible attitude. Ability to work diligently and independently in a remote, night-shift environment.
